Built around a 300-year-old banyan tree, this delightful bed and breakfast is owned by an artist/architect Jonathan Rose and wife Anne, herbalist, gardener, and travel agency owner, who are from New Hampshire. They have created a magical setting for a bed and breakfast, surrounded by a kitchen garden, bamboo walk, and ginger gardens. On their six acres are two houses, the Bamboo House with a living/sleeping room and kitchenette, and the main house, which has two guest rooms. Full breakfast is served each morning. The owners will arrange excursions, and may also join guests for walks in the area and to the Botanical Gardens of Nevis.
There are only three rooms, and they can only be booked November-April, but the Banyan Tree Bed and Breakfast is one of the most beautiful and affordable places to stay on Nevis. Renovated by a New Hampshire couple, the B&B is located down a dirt road and nestled amidst palms, mangos, and the titular Banyan Tree itself, a 300-year-old natural beauty. Two rooms sit to the back of the main house and rent for US$135 and US$140 respectively (the former has two single beds, the latter a queen-sized one). The third room, the “Bamboo House,” is a short walk away in its own building, with sea and mountain vistas from the porch and a capacious bedroom. All have private baths but no TV, AC, or phone (wireless Internet access in the main house).
$150 - $200 USD per night
